Watts & Wire welcomes guest contributions from analysts, engineers, ex-regulators, academics, and other energy market professionals. We do not pay for launch-period contributions; in exchange, contributors get a byline, author bio with links, and social promotion.
Editorial Standards
- Original work only — no previously published or AI-generated-and-unedited submissions
- Cite sources for any data or claims; link to primary sources where possible
- Do not present opinion as fact, and clearly label speculative or forward-looking statements
- No content that could be reasonably read as coordinated market manipulation or pump-and-dump style promotion
Required: Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure
Every submission must disclose any financial interest, employer relationship, or other conflict relevant to the topic (for example, a position in a company or commodity discussed, or employment at a utility, RTO, or REP mentioned in the piece). Undisclosed conflicts are grounds for removal.
Review Process
All submissions go through editorial review before publication — nothing is auto-published. We check sourcing, disclosure, and fit with our compliance standards before a piece goes live.
